H.M the King lays the corner stone of Madaba Industrial Estate
His Majesty the King laid the corner stone of Madaba Industrial Estate.
His Majesty stressed the importance of the industrial estate in the governorate and its role in creating jobs for local community, calling on the government to exert more efforts to attract investments without delay, and noting that the governorate “will see the first factory before the end of 2017”.
The industrial estate will be built on a 500-dunum land and is expected to attract, in its first phase 61 companies, with investments worth JD120 million, and generate 1,700 jobs.
From his side, CEO of JIEC Dr. Jalal Al-Debee said that it’s expected to finish the 1st phase of the industrial estate on April 2018, but regarding to the investment demands JIEC has received from 4 large companies which will generate 600 jobs, so we will accelerate the construction business so as to make the estate ready by the end of 2017 for these investments on a land of 24- Dunum, with cost of 12 Million JD.
