Jordan and Tunisia discussed virtually the implementation of a number of joint plans in the field of establishing, managing and developing industrial and developing estates, and exchanging experiences and visits between the two sides.
The virtual meeting included Jordan's ambassador to Tunisia Maher Tarawneh and Tunisian Ambassador to Jordan Khalid Suhaili to discuss cooperation in the field of establishing industrial estates was conducted in light of the 2018 memorandum of understanding signed by the two governments during a previous meeting organized by the Jordan Industrial Estates Corporation (JIEC) and the Tunisian Industrial Investment Authority.
JIEC Director General Omar Jwaid noted on Saturday that, upon Royal directives, the committee has “fostered a suitable environment” for investment, rendering the Kingdom a hub that yields foreign investment.
Stressing the importance of Arab industrial collaboration, Suhaili added that this cooperation will target technical issues, legislation, planning, development and management of industrial estates in both countries, Petra reported.
